"After Hours On Phila Street" is my new album, featuring six original compositions and an incredible group of musicians: Scott Petito (basses), Joel Rosenblatt (drums), Joe Locke (vibraphone), Mike Tucker (saxophone), Mike DeMicco (guitar), Jorge Gomez (keyboards & sequencing), Joe Anderies (flute), and Ria Curley (vocal harmonies & arrangements).

I produced and arranged the album, with Ria Curley as co-producer, co-arranger and album cover artist. It was recorded, edited, mixed & mastered by Scott Petito at NRS Recording in Catskill, NY. “Estudio” was co-produced, arranged & mixed by Jorge Gomez and me, and recorded by Jorge at ADAMS St studio in Saratoga Springs, NY. Ria's vocals on “For Pete’s Sake” were recorded by Jim Mastrianni at JEM Studios in Saratoga Springs, NY.

The album grew out of the music, late-night sessions and community around Phila Street in Saratoga Springs. The album is dedicated to the memory of my dear friend Joel Moss, co-founder and co-producer of the Jazz at Caffè Lena series. “Heavens to Betsy” honors my beautiful sister, Betsy, and “For Pete’s Sake” honors my amazing brother, Pete, both of whom I miss dearly.

What do a couple of in-demand, top-tier, touring musicians do when the world is suddenly locked down? Well, lucky for us, when they’re Chuck Lamb and Jorge Gomez and they find themselves in close proximity in Saratoga Springs, NY, they take out their frustrations and combine their quarantined talents to create eight delightful pieces, cheekily titled Take 2.
